Cashmere is a very durable natural fiber that can be with you forever. In order to get this longevity with your cashmere there are few things to consider. Top of this list is how you wash your cashmere. Washing also helps in controlling peeling. It is also important for long lasting softness.
The washing instruction for your new cashmere:
Step 1: Clear your wash basin and fill it with warm water.
Step 2: Add gentle washable for wool preferably Cashmere Shampoo. If you don’t have a cashmere shampoo, it is also okay to use normal shampoo.
Step 3: To test if the color bleeds or not, take a white wet cloth and dab at the corner of the Cashmere.
Step 4: If the color does not bleed wash the Cashmere Garment gently. Let the garment soak for 5 minutes. Do not pull or rub the garment. Let the garment twirl in the shampoo.
Step 5: Drain the water from the washbasin and fill with clean water and remove the soap. Do not wring the Cashmere. Repeat the process as many times as needed to remove the soapsuds.
Step 6: Make a loose ball of the Cashmere and gently push it against the sink wall and rinse as much water as possible.
Step 7: Take a white towel and lay the cashmere on top of the white towel. Roll the towel and garment together pressing down gently while the excess water is soaked by the towel.
Step 8: Let the Cashmere dry on a flat surface. Do not hang the Cashmere.
